[sticky entry] Sticky: Game Events

Sue stays on the dotted line up until she hands the chip in to Mr. House and upgrades the securitrons. She’s not sure where to go from there, so she takes a break and does Honest Hearts, which causes her to remember her roots. When she heads back to the Mojave, she does some errands for the NCR, though she swings a little bit Independent on the way. In the middle of all this, Sue does Old World Blues and learns the value of side quests, and Dead Money, where she learns she hates radios. She doesn’t commit to the independent path until after Lonesome Road, when she starts caring about the message she sends with her choices.

She grew up tribal. Iron Lines, before the Legion came in and… well, did what happened to the other 85 tribes that formed them up. So, she’ll always lean a little on their side. Friend of the Boomers and Great Khans. Not a fan of the Legion, for pretty understandable reasons. Distrustful of Vegas, especially of the looks she gets. Walks the Mojave, solves problems, fixes things, makes deliveries. You know, like a Courier.

If you want a more detailed account/timeline of their choices, they're under the jump. Events with ??? will be updated once she reaches them and I know the exact/probable outcomes. Still subject to change.

Family (headcanon)

Well. Where does family stop and the tribe begin? Nowhere, that’s where. They’re all her brothers and sisters if they’re close, or cousins, if they don’t show up too often. They’re nomads, so they tend to spread thin until they group up at Circle Junction out in Colorado, southeast of where Denver used to be. Up until Circle Junction folded under, anyway. As for direct family, she had a dad, a mom, grandparents, maybe some actual siblings. Chances of them still being alive? Not high. They kept getting hassled by raiders, which quickly enough turned into Legion. Some of them moved on, following the rails. The ones that didn’t are gone, either to the bullet or the Legion, which is close enough.

She has some cousins that still walk the lines here in the Mojave. They’re not always around, and they don’t always talk because she veers from those lines and onto the roads, but they’re close enough. Getting in contact with them’s an issue, but it’s not a new one, and she’s not worried about it. They’ll all meet again, one way or another.

But let’s call it for two cousins in/around the Mojave. One’s near Outer Vegas and the other’s in NCR territory (you know, by taking that train line that cuts across near Nipton?). They probably prefer to live in old abandoned boxcars as opposed to actual housing, so that’s where they’d be camping for now. There’s probably a good few more in California, actually. Gotta play keep away from the Legion and all that. That’s where her brothers live. Yeah, brothers. And one sister.

More info under the jump )

How much of this Sue actually remembers varies depending on how much those two bullets to the skull does, of course.

Oh, and for the record: the Iron Lines do technically exist in game canon, or, well, developer's word of game canon. They're probably much different than this, though, so take everything up here with several helpings of salt sprinkled over liberties.
